Clinical
At Shady Grove Medical Center I took on the responsibilites of an inpatient clinical dietitian. I performed nutrition screening and managed and prioritized intial and follow up assessments. I was responsible for about 10 patients a day including intitial, follow-up, and education assessments.
COmmunity
During my commnity rotation I worked virtually on several projects. I made lesson plans for children, adult, and senior age groups which I presented them either virtually or in person. I made educational posters about National Nutrition Month that were displayed at Shady Grove Medical Center. I also wrote a letter to Virginia Representative Beyer requesting he support the expansion of food stamps. I worked with a private practice dietitian to write articles and make marketing material focused on maternal nutrition.




Food Service
During my food service rotation at Shady Grove Medical Center I worked with staff on hot and cold production. I conducted and ordered inventory and recieved food orders. I also monitored the refrigerator, freezer, serving line, and dish machine temperatures and adjusted them as necessary. I managed cash flow and exceuted an Oktoberfest-themed retail project.
